Building the Future of CIS: One Conversation at a Time at the Belmont Job Fair

The future of technology may be powered by AI, cloud computing, and data centers but behind every piece of infrastructure are the people who build it.

That was one of our biggest takeaways from the Belmont Job Fair.

For CIS, attending was about more than recruiting. It was an opportunity to meet the people in our community, introduce them to a rapidly growing industry, and find the next generation of talent who could help us build what comes next.

And we left impressed.

A Room Full of Talent and Possibility

Throughout the event, our team spoke with people at very different stages of their careers from those looking for their first opportunity to experienced professionals ready for their next challenge.

What stood out was the energy.

People were curious. They wanted to learn. They asked questions about CIS, the work we do, and what a career in data center infrastructure actually looks like.

Those conversations matter because this industry is changing quickly.

AI and cloud computing are driving enormous demand for new data center capacity, but that growth depends on something much more physical: fiber, cabling, racks, connectivity, logistics, and the skilled teams that bring all of it together.

Behind every AI cluster and data center deployment are people doing the work.

At CIS, we want to help more people discover those opportunities.

Thank You, Kymberly Hill

A special thank you goes to Kymberly Hill for inviting CIS and making our experience at the Belmont Job Fair such a positive one.

From the warm welcome to the support throughout the event, her professionalism and genuine commitment to connecting employers with the community were clear.

Creating meaningful career opportunities requires people who are willing to bring companies and talent together. We are grateful to Kymberly for giving CIS the opportunity to be part of that effort.

Growing With San Mateo County

CIS is proud to strengthen our relationship with the County of San Mateo and invest in the community that has been an important part of our story.

For us, that means more than simply filling open positions.

It means creating opportunities for people to develop real skills and build careers in fiber optics, structured cabling, data center infrastructure, logistics, operations, and project management.

As AI and cloud infrastructure continue to expand, the demand for the people who physically build and support these environments will continue to matter.

We want local talent to be part of that future.

We’re Growing — and We’re Hiring

CIS is actively expanding our team, and we are currently looking for talented and motivated people across several areas:

Field Technicians — Building and supporting fiber optic and structured cabling infrastructure inside data center environments.

Warehouse Associates — Supporting inventory, cable sourcing, materials, and logistics that keep projects moving.

Office Assistants — Helping our growing team with administration, communication, and day-to-day operations.

Field / Operations Managers — Leading teams and ensuring projects are executed with precision, professionalism, and accountability.

Assistant Project Managers — Supporting planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution across our infrastructure projects.

Whether you already have experience in the industry or are looking for an opportunity to build a new career, we want to meet people who are ready to learn, contribute, and grow.

The Infrastructure Is Important. The People Behind It Matter More.

At CIS, we work on the physical infrastructure behind some of today’s fastest-growing technologies — from fiber and structured cabling to data center deployments and AI/GPU infrastructure.

But none of it happens without great people. That is why events like the Belmont Job Fair matter to us.

To everyone who stopped by, introduced themselves, asked questions, or shared their story with our team: thank you. We hope it was the first of many conversations.
